Cesab to show the power of partnerships at IMHX 2019

Cesab Material Handling UK will show industry professionals at this year’s IMHX how powerful partnerships can make all the difference.

Representatives of Cesab’s dealer network, as well as its’ UK and European management team, will be at stand 20F60 in hall 20 to explain how Cesab’s commitment to local, personalised customer service and high-quality material handling products is powering businesses across the UK.

Among the flagship products on show will be the latest addition to Cesab’s M300 range of internal combustion (IC) forklifts, the powerful M300H hydrostatic; the high performance Cesab R300 reach truck; the new Cesab Simai tow tractor and semi-rough terrain Cesab M300 Prins Tiger.

Cesab M300H hydrostatic

As with all Cesab IC trucks, the tried and trusted Cesab M300 range is now available with a torque converter or a hydrostatic drive train.

The M300 truck on display will be the new Cesab M300H hydrostatic. Available in 1.5 to 3.5 tonne capacities, this range offers diesel or LPG fuel options, the advantages of powerful and precise handling and fast change of drive direction for higher productivity.

Independent lift and drive functionality provide the operator with complete control on the Cesab M300H, with automatic braking when the foot is removed from the accelerator for easy manoeuvring. This delivers an easier and more controlled drive on ramps operation for better safety, and the option to pre-set performance parameters.

Cesab Prins Tiger

Visitors will also be able to view the innovative Cesab M300 Prins Tiger, a truck designed for semi-rough terrain applications.

Suitable for driving on unpaved surfaces, including agricultural, horticultural and other outdoor settings, the Cesab M300 Prins Tiger range delivers minimal wheel pressure through larger tyres, and offers a lift capacity from one to 2.5 tonnes.

A small turning circle means the Cesab Prins Tiger range can manoeuvre easily in smaller spaces and turn around quickly to ensure optimum productivity.

Powerful partnerships at Roydon

Among those seeing the benefits of a powerful partnership with Cesab dealership Global Materials Handling and the Cesab M300 range is Roydon Polythene, a market leader in the recycling and reprocessing of plastic film from the industrial, commercial and post-consumer industry sectors.

Its materials handling operations are intensive, with forklifts in use for 24 hours a day most of the working week.

After calling on Cesab dealership Global Material Handling for advice, the business decided to trial a Cesab M325 forklift for one year. Site manager Graham Stanhope said: "We found we had no issues with the truck whatsoever and didn't need to call the engineers once. The Cesab truck was popular with our operators, who found it easy and comfortable to use.

"We're delighted with the performance of the Cesab M300 range and the impressive levels of service from Global Materials Handling. This is an arrangement that helps to boost our operational efficiency and deliver maximum productivity."

Driving productivity at ESPO with powerful partnerships

Another organisation improving its performance, in partnership with Cesab dealership Angus Lift Trucks, is ESPO, the Leicester-based purchasing and distribution consortium.

Cesab R314 reach trucks are used in the ESPO warehouse, picking goods 24 hours a day, six days a week. These are fitted with cameras and fork positioning laser systems that enable operators to position the forks accurately, even at the highest racking levels. They also feature safety lighting and a driver management system that requires operators to perform a daily check on each truck before starting work.

Neil Tompkins, Operations Shift Manager, ESPO: "When we decided to explore new servicing options, Angus were recommended to us and we invited them in. We have an intensive operation here and need equipment that we can rely on and suppliers who respond quickly. We’re really pleased with the speed of response from the team at Angus, who are usually with us within three hours of any request.”

Looking ahead to IMHX

Miles Griffin, General Manager, Cesab Material Handling UK: "IMHX has long been the premier event for the UK materials handling industry, and for Cesab it is an excellent opportunity to show customers the strengths of the Cesab range and the advantages of working in a powerful partnership with a local dealer.

“We’re proud of the personal relationships Cesab dealers have with customers. When a Cesab customer calls their dealer they usually know who they’re talking to, and the dealership team know their customers as individuals. This personal service is integral to the way we work. It means Cesab customers get the tailored support and response they need and it optimises productivity.

“We’re looking forward to showing visitors to IMHX how our approach makes all the difference.”
